Course Overview

This course, Powerful Tools for Teaching and Learning: Digital Storytelling, provides an introduction to digital storytelling and explores ways to use digital stories to enhance students’ learning experiences. Participants will learn the fundamentals of creating a digital story, from scripting to editing, and will have the opportunity to create their own digital story using WeVideo, a free web-based video editing program. The course is designed for K-12 teachers in all disciplines, but is open to anyone with an interest in digital storytelling. Those in the state of Texas may be eligible to receive Continuing Professional Education units upon completion of the major requirements of the course.
